Mid Eighteenth Century Gothic former hunting Lodge.
Listed as Grade II building of historical and architectural
importance.
Mentioned in ‘Cambria Depicta' (1818),
and Thomas Pennant’s ‘Journey to Snowdonia’
(1791).
The completed project resulted in
a delighted and ‘notoriously hard to please’
client - his words, not ours.
PROJECT DETAILS:
GNAA sourced (Gloucestershire), supplied and installed
oak fielded panelling, associated carving and contemporary
fire surround to a reception room.
GNAA also supplied three matching seven-feet
Gothic windows and double round-top doors for creation
of a castellated garden room.
Also provided were Minton tiles for Regency
fireplace; York stone flags for paths and nineteenth
century Chinoiserie incense burner wall mounting for
lounge decoration.
SUMMARY:
Sourcing suitable complete panelled room took a total
of three months. Fitting took one week. Remainder of
materials and artefacts supplied from stock.
