DESCRIPTION:
World-famous award-winning open air museum depicting
life in the North East in the early 19th and 20th centuries.
PROJECT DETAILS:
GNAA provided the complete red granite exterior of an Edwardian Bank
(originally located in a Southport street), for an early 20th century street re-creation at the museum,
complete with exterior Ionic columns, ornate door pediment and associated ironwork to windows.
GNAA also provided many artefacts for
the museum, including everything from a village water
pump and steam heating range to a Wurlitzer travelling
harp case.
SUMMARY:
Again, great pleasure to see a distinguished building
frontage from the days of the horse and carriage preserved
for the enjoyment of so many heritage buffs.
